Meghalaya RTO Code 2024: The Transport Department of Meghalaya functions under the direction of the Minister of Transport, aided by the Principal Secretary and a committed team. At the Directorate level, the Commissioner of Transport supervises the department, receiving support from various officials. Furthermore, there is an Enforcement Wing that operates within the department.
On the District level, there are eleven district offices, each led by a District Transport Officer (D.T.O.), who also acts as the ex-officio secretary of the Regional Transport Authority, effectively merging the roles and duties of both positions. In total, the State of Meghalaya has eleven DTOs actively engaged in their roles.
